HOLLYWOOD COMES TO THE PHOENICIA TO MAKE MAJOR FILM

- By John Lefgren

Last week a Hollywood crew came to the Phoenician Ship Museum to take eight hours of film. The film producer has a clear script. He intends to spend a million dollars creating a film where he will connect our Phoenician ship to the hundreds of ancient copper pits in Michigan and to the John White Collection of stones that have engravings make use of the Phoenician alphabet..

The film crew was two days at the Phoenician Ship Museum where they made film interviewing people who are involved with the restoration of the world’s oldest ship replica that has crossed the Atlantic Ocean.

This week the film crew is in the Keweenaw Peninsula and Isle Royale in Upper Michigan where 90% of the world’s native copper is found. There are hundreds of pits where during the Bronze Age thousands of ancient people dug up thousands of tons of copper.

Next week the film crew will go to Ohio to unveil five hundred or more stones that have thousands of images from the John White Collection.

The film crew is spending 20 days in production. Talented people in Hollywood will do the post production over the next several months.

Some time early next year there will be a major Hollywood movie where the Phoenician ship, the copper of Michigan, and the stones of the Mississippi Valley will be presented in a film for millions of people to see through international distribution channels.

Heartland Research is pleased to be a part of this major film. Stay tune as we wait with great expectation for the premier of the film.
